backed it up to floppy, put this on a machine and then burn't a new CD?

Are you sure you did a FULL backup of the package, a partial package
might cause this error.  Possible that the package got corrupted on the
backup floppy, bad floppy?  Have you tried it more than once, I know my
CD-RW disk got quite the workout when I was doing this.
