I have gotten WISP-DIST 2320 to work as a client to an RG-1100 Access Point. However
I cant get
it to work as an access point itself. I want to use either a Zcomax (200mw) or an
Aironet LMC352
(100mw) card but I am having very strange results. Using my Win XP laptop and my HP
Journada with
a PCMCIA adapter as the test clients have used a combination of Aironet, Zcomax,
Orinoco, Dlink,
and Linksys cards with no luck. My WinXP laptop will see the WISP-DIST computer and
will connect
to it but only for about a second and then claims that it lost the connection. Any
attempts to
ping the wireless card on the WISP-DIST computer fail. My Journada with an Orinoco
card sees the
ESSID of the network but acts like it cant associate to it but it still can see
signal levels.
The WISP-DIST machine has the following settings:
Eth0 IP 192.168.0.2/24
Netcs0 IP 10.0.0.2/24
ESSID Test
Mode: Master
Bridging is off and so is NAT.
Im not sure what Im doing wrong, any help would be appreciated.
Mike
