Seems to be working just fine.

One oddity, any symbolic links I create /etc/rcS.d do not get backed up with
the etc package, or any other package for that matter.  To get this to work, I
had to modify a script in /etc/init.d that already had a symbolic link from
/etc/rcS.d to call my scripts.  I chose to modify /etc/init.d/networking.
