I already got that request from some users (kpk among others): the idea was 
to create an "update" package.
I did not do it since rc4 has fixes to many files that are configured once 
you setup your own machine. Among other /etc/passwd, /etc/lrp.conf, so that 
was a risky operation.
Also kernel has been recompiled with new config and grsecurity so you need to 
switch to the new set of modules.
Therefore my advice is clearly to start from a "fresh" copy of rc4 . You can 
keep in the process most of your rc3 customized shorewall files. Check
