Always searching for VoIP on DMZ zone on my Bering RC3 ! My project is to connect a VoIP gateway which will be alone in my DMZ zone (no other IP adress), and this will act as "phone gateway" with our office's PBX.
I have done many tests with a Micronet (Taiwan) ADSL/Router/firewal - at low cost - to compare. If I declare my VoIP phoneset or my one PC IP adress to forward all Internet input request to this DMZ target, then, all is ok and work fine receiving and calling everybody on Internet. If I exchange this firewall/router against my Bering PC, I just can connect or to be ringed by somebody, the link is established, but no audio signal exchanged ! I have checked some DNAT fomulas without any success, I want chech today SNAT to the DMZ. About DNAT, I have added this line : DNAT net dmz:192.168.175.003 all When the VoIP link is established, I can see DMZ LED activity showing the UDP streaming flow as normalous, but I can't receive it in my Pc or IP-Phone... I don't understand what are the difference between my "hardware" Micronet router and my Pc running Bering/Shorewall ? What is modified in the packets against the Micronet router job ? I plan to connect some protocol analyzer to see what it is happenning... I think that it will be ridiculous to be obliged to use an hardware commercial router to switch all inputing Internet traffic to a single host IP address in a DMZ ! I prefear imagine that I am wrong with my parameters and someone has the solution with Bering ! How to switch all traffic without any packet modifications or losses except NATing to a specific IP address as a "normal router" ? Any idea ?
