There is a difference in level-of-effort between what LEAF can do and what
specific images may be pre-configured to do.  Charles was describing what
his images are optimized for.

Dachstein can be configured to work with hardware modems on ppp

Not at all.  Did you perhaps arrive at

fail to click on the name of the leaf-user list?
