Hello All,

Just switched from dachstein to bering 1.0 rc4 (just wanted to see the difference...by the way many thanks to charles s. for years of uptime with my lrp versions and to dave c. for the original idea before that).

Looked through the user list to find help with my question. Sorry if the answer is already out there.

My top rejected ip's in my logs according to weblet are 192.168.1.1 and .254.

I have done some research that suggests that dhcpd may be the cause.

For example:

Nov 11 11:18:52 firewall kernel: Shorewall:all2all:REJECT:IN=eth1 OUT= SRC=192.168.1.1 DST=192.168.1.254 LEN=328 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=128 ID=8291 PROTO=UDP SPT=68 DPT=67 LEN=308

A reverse situation is present back from the gateway. Is this DHCP traffic?

Do I have to put a rule in shorewall to quiet this down? If so what is the rule. I am very green with tables.

Thanks in advance for any help...
