ssh works fine on bering, but you have to make a:

2 floppy setup
or
CD-rom setup
or
Install it on your hard drive

to make it fit -> how much do you think can fit on one disk?
as for telnet, i wouldn't risk putting it on any machine, especially a
firewall ,to many holes
