This could actually be a Bering/ash thing -- before you go to the bother
of getting a trace:
a) Replace /usr/share/shorewall/firewall with the firewall script at:
ftp://ftp1.shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/errata/1.4.0/firewall
b) If you still have problems, get the trace then remove
/etc/shorewall/ecn; if there is no file by that name, the function that is
failing isn't even called.
