Hi, Yep, from what I can tell the DSL modem in the XModem dials up and grabs an IP address, then gives it to an internal DHCP server sitting on the LAN port, waiting for 1 solitary DHCP client. That sounds like ProxyARP to me...
What is all this PPPoE and PPPoA? I know that at the time that review was written, the UK is PPPoA. That would be interesting, does that mean that the PPPoE assigned external address is passed to the LAN client using DHCP, e.g. it is passed to a DHCP server sitting in that box, which distributed the address to the client that requests it? Then the device acts as a bridge.
