We used 2 channels all of the time as it was a commercial site and the lines
were used as dedicated lines to serve the internet need of the company.   I did
modify the network file on Dachstein initially but then have also modified an
isdn.lrp module to do most of the work but had been made redundant form the
company before I could test it.   I will send you the module (directly to you)
and details of the initial changes as soon as I dig them out of my archives.   I
have archived and stored most of this stuff but will find it again over the
weekend.
