I haven't got much debugging information as yet, but the behaviour is the interfaces just stops working, so you cannot ping it or ping out. If you perform a ifdown eth1 and ifup eth1 then it gets it going again. Can you give me some hints on where to start debugging? It is Leaf Bering, shorewall show connections list approx 900 connections on the latest crash - but I Would hope this is not too high. All the connections are there for valid reasons (I believe).
