Hello,

I have big problem, I cannot telnet to my Bering
Version 1.2 Box.

First, please, I know the security point, I know that
telnet is very unsecure, but I dont want to use SSH,
because I run it on a single floppy and it is an
thrusted network!

Okay let me start with my configuration.
---
Bering Box Eth0: 192.168.249.40/255.255.255.0
Localnetwork: 192.168.249.0
Client (Telnet to my Bering Box):
192.169.249.30/255.255.255.0
---
Ping is successfull: Bering to Client/Client to Bering
I dont use any Shorewall Packages, so the Bering Box
isnt firewalled! I haven't set any IPTABLES Rules!

- I uncommand the "telnet-line" into /etc/inetd.conf
- I add the command "ttyp0" into /etc/securetty
- I added "in.telnetd" to my Bering Box, Oxygen Pack
Source
- I added "libncurses.so.4" too, Oxygen Pack Source

My /etc/hosts.allow:
ALL: 192.168.249.0/255.255.255.0

My /etc/hosts.deny:
ALL: ALL

If I try telnet from the client to the Bering Box, the
telnet program waited some seconds and then, I get the
message: Connection to Host is lost.

Can anyone help me with my problem?
Thanks for your helping hands :)

Seeya
Nils
