Hello David,

I have no idea about pptpd, if you can connect the package seems to 
work ok. Things you can do to narrow down the problem is running a 
packet sniffer on your workstation (something like ethereal or 
tcpdump) and see if something goes wrong in communication. An other 
thing you can check is if the shorewall rules are ok, take a look 
with "shorewall hits" to see if things are getting blocked.
