Darn it I keep sending my stuff sent with HTML headers

Sergio,

Prism cards are alive and well even for 802.11b.
The cards are not often found on store shelves. But are easy to find on the internet.
Two high powered cards are easy to find:
The Senao 2511CD (either ext2 or + for internal antenna) Run's cool but have to choose between internal and external antenna models. MMCX connector

SMC 2532W-B runs fairly warm but has a nice detachable antenna. RP-MMCX connector.

You should be able to find better prices on both of these cards.
You may also want to look at Zcomax cards.

Also, try at other cards in this page:

Hope that helps,

Luis,

I've read about Prism cards.
But it seem this is an oudated chipset. Ive got
a list of Prism based cards (I think from the HostAP site)
and all cards listed seem to be out of production.

Is this true??

For a wireless access point, you should look for Prism based
cards. They are the only ones supported by HostAP. I don't have any brand or model numbers available, but maybe others
can help you locate a proper one.
But beware of the 'Marketing names' sometimes, vendors have
the same card name for different chipsets...
