Bug #1:
If sshd_config is left at the default (Protocol 2,1), login works.
If set to Protocol 2 (only), the server hangs up right after exchanging
version strings.
This affects both the openssh ssh client and puTTY; forcing version 2 on the
client
doesn't help. They do work against 3.5p1 and 3.7.1p2 compiled with glibc
here
(on a Redhat 9 box).
On the other hand, Safe Passage (based on puTTY,
see http://www.vastrange.com/) works. Not sure why.

Bug #2:
I also saw wierdness trying to use certificates to log in after the server
was running a while
with the Safe Passage client, but puTTY is still able to connect.
Tried both the 3.7.1p1- and 3.7.1p2-based lrp packages.
I'm using a Soekris net4801, same symptoms with a PC Engines WRAP.

Maybe bug in uClibc 0.9.20, or bad interaction between uClibc + Geode?

I guess the next thing to try is to see if uClibc on a more conventional x86
processor
still has the problem, but in either case I think I'm better off with a
distribution
based on a more standard C library, as space concerns aren't as critical for
me
(I'd go with straight Bering or Lince, but they look like they're sort of
abandonded...)

Thanks in advance,
Dave Yerger
