OK,

The problem was the clinet from windows. I switched to Putty and all was good.
Now I want to try to have it pas it through to hosts on the inside of my firewall based on the sequence I pass it.
Can I do that?
If not I'll have to use different ports for different hosts

Hi,

I've been trying to get knockd to work on a Bering ulibc 2.2.1 system.
I followed the instructions in knockd.conf AFAIK.
I'm knocking using the windows client from knockd site.
I can see my chosen port sequence come in and the knockd.log shows it issuing the add and delete commands properly.
My SSH client appears to be connecting and hanging wiating for auth: I see the Child connection from blah blah. But instead of getting prompted for a password, I eventually see a timeout message in the auth.log.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks,
glenn
