Hi,
I have recently upgraded from Bering to Bering uclibc version 2.2.3 and am
trying to install PPTPD to allow a simple VPN connection to my network. I
had this working with my Bering configuration and it worked without issue. I
have installed the pptpd.lrp and it runs successfully. I also configured
Shorewall as described in the documentation.

/etc/shorewall/tunnels:
pptpserver net 0.0.0.0/0

/etc/shorewall/interfaces:
loc ppp+ -

When I try to connect with my XP box from the net I get an error 800 which
means nothing to me. Doing a port scan shows port 1723 open. Also, if I
change pptpserver net 0.0.0.0/0 to pptpserver loc 0.0.0.0/0 I can
successfully connect from with in my network. I have enable debugging for
the pptpd and when I connect from within my network I get a bunch of
information that looks normal. When I try to connect from the net I get no
information. This leads me to believe that Shorewall is dropping something.
Can anyone give me a hint as to what to do next?

Thanks for any help,

Rich
