Hi,
I have successfully installed and am running Bering-uCLibc and other LRP
packages I need on a WRAP board, booting off a 32 MB CF.
(Quick aside: this is not for a typical firewall/router app - this is
one of our "platforms" for a Columbia University research project
involving adhoc information and transparent data exchange over wireless
devices - http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/~maria/7ds/ . I already have the
7DS apps in an LRP package and running on Bering/WRAP!)
However, Bering does not recognize WRAP's National Semiconductor PCI
Ethernet card, nor does it recognize the Senao SL-2511 wireless card
(based on Prism2) that has been installed on the WRAP board.
I have uncommented the lines for "crc32" and "natsemi" in /etc/modules/
file, but this is the message that comes up at boot:
----------------------
crc32 - Using /lib/modules/./crc32.o
natsemi - Using /lib/modules/./natsemi.o
insmod: unresolved symbol gr_task_is_capable
----------------------
However, the NatSemi card is recognized and works in WISP-Dist (which I
don't want to use for several reasons.)
WISP-Dist includes a pci-scan.o. Do I need this module to scan for my
miniPCI cards? I couldn't find the file in the latest Bering-uCLibc
module tarball.
The wireless card is also a problem. I can't give the screen dump off
hand, but an insmod returned something like this (from memory, not
accurate). I have several of the hostap and the prism2 modules installed
(I don't know what exactly I need though).
----------------------
> insmod hostap
insmod: unresolved symbol gr_task_is_capable
> insmod hostap_pci
insmod: unresolved symbol ...
insmod: unresolved symbol ...
> insmod prism2_pci
insmod: unresolved symbol hostap_...
insmod: unresolved symbol ...
insmod: unresolved symbol ...
----------------------
Can someone help?
Thanks,
Suman
