A few years back I modified the lrcfg.back script to send the newly generated package accross the net to a server where it was stored and fetched from when the firewall booted up. This was done using scp and a certificate which allowed scp to run without user intervention to an account with limited permisssions.
If anyone should be interested in that code, it can probably be found in the archives.
