I'm using Vonage with Bering. I setup the ToS under the shorewall
configuration. The ports are well documented on the Vonage website. Also,
you do need to DNAT certain ports to your internal ATA address.

I setup my ATA as a dedicated (although still DHCP) IP address. Never had a
problem so far.

Below are the relevant parts of my specific config files:

/etc/shorewall/rules:
#ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST SOURCE ORIGINAL
# PORT PORT(S) DEST
DNAT net loc:192.168.1.200 udp 5060,5061,53,69,10000:20000 -
<external IP>

where <external IP> is the true external IP address of your router.

I'm not 100% sure the following is proper, but again I've not had a problem
with it:

/etc/shorewall/tos:
#SOURCE DEST PROTOCOL SOURCE PORTS DEST PORTS TOS
loc:192.168.1.200 all udp - - 16
loc:192.168.1.200 all udp - - 8
loc:192.168.1.200 all udp - - 2

If anyone else has some suggestions I'd be willing to listen. I've tried to
get qos-htb working, but without success.

/blatant plug

if anyone is interested in using Vonage, give a holler, as I'd like to refer
you first. Then we both get some free time from Vonage.

/end blatant plug ...

Joey

Is anyone using Vonage with Bering or Bering uClibc? If so how did you
set it up?

Roger
