Hi, I need to install smbfs on my Bering disk, but I can't remember
which version it is.
The kernel is 2.4.26, so can I just use one of the modules tarballs for
2.4.26 or does it have to match my Bering version?
If it does, how do identify the Bering version number?

1. You can use any web browser;
2. Point to your Bering’s IP;
3. Under ::Configuration:: and System Details;
4. Look under ::Installed Package::

As follows:

::Installed Packages::
Name            Version        Description
===============-==============-==============================================
initrd V2.2.0 uClibc- LEAF Bering-uClibc initial filesystem root V2.2.0 uClibc- Core LEAF Bering-uClibc package config 0.4 Core config and backup system package etc V2.2.0 uClibc- local V2.2.0 uClibc- LEAF Bering local package modules V2.2.0 uClibc- Define & contain your LEAF Bering modules
