Hi,

I'd like to install a uClibc firewall router in this environment.

Two aDSL lines over 2 Zyxel modems routers Prestige 652-R13 connected to A
bering-uClibc PC.
I would like to achive badwidth managment and some sort of a fail - over.

I've downloaded the whole CVS source tree and applied the patches by Julian
Anastasov on the kernel. So far so good.

Questions.
How should I conifg the modems so that the linux kernel will be aware of a dead
link and fall over the other one ?? ( Having the Ping daemon etc..)

As routers using RFC1918 addresses ????
or
PPPoE involving all this if-up.d if-down.d scripting and multiple shorewall
configs?? ( ppp interfaces are not guaranted to be ppp0 for ISP1 and ppp1 for
ISP2 when conected with if-up mechanism).

Your support, hints, ideas ???
Anybody having a similar setup situation that can help ???

Currently I am in the process of seting up our Leaf router and will test it
over the weekend.

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance....
Regards
Harry
