Sure.  I forget whether it's a 3Com or USR, but it's a "hardware
controlled"
modem using the TI chipset, and it needed no special drivers--it's Hayes
compatible.  You are going to have trouble with one of the "Win-Modem" 
or host controlled/assisted modems.
