Hi Eric, Gianni, We finally got chilli.lrp running and working partially. We were able to get LEAF 3.0 beta 2 up and running with chilli giving out IP addresses via DHCP properly. However, it doesn't redirect the page yet. We tried with and without shorewall (we don't need the firewall function anyway) and set the ipv4 forwarding to 1 in /etc/sysctl.conf. Also tried the chilli.iptables from chillisoft and the /etc/NAT script from Gianni. We did the same thing on a LEAF setup from QBOX with Gianni's latest chilli.lrp .
Running chilli -fd, I can see that the DHCP transaction is ok and when I try to access a website, I see the message on the terminal: forwarding to link layer. In the regular Linux box, as soon as ip forwarding is set to 1 and the chilli.iptables is run, chillisoft works right away. I used the same chilli.conf file for both the regular Linux box and LEAF. I'm suspecting I'm not doing the IP forwarding correctly but it is supposed to work after /etc/sysctl.conf is updated and the system reloaded. What else could I be missing? jerome ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
