Hi Jim, The "at" command seems legacy, I don't even have it on my linux server anymore...
You could start with a simplified script: #!/bin/sh # Get the attacker's IP address and probed port from the command # parameters. DO NOT CHANGE THIS! BAD_IP=$1 BAD_PORT=$2 # Block the bad guy. /sbin/shorewall drop $1 And reload shorewall every week with a cron script. This is not perfect, because you shortly loose net access every week during reloading and attacks at the end of the week will be allowed directly after the reload... Maybe someone else has a better idea...
