You need to remove the line in /etc/inittab that refers to /dev/tty1.

There are probably typos in both of those, but they are just my build 
notes from the last time I set up a set of WRAPs.

And, if you get the encryption offload card working, let me know, I'm 
interested in them, but I can't stomach the cost for something to test 
that a search tells me is probably worthless.
