The trickiest thing was the symlink recreation.
The swapon config file could function as an
editable rc.local, something I was kind of surprised
that I couldn't find documented as such.
Although now that I've done this, I guess I could
have just added an /etc/init.d/local to the local files
list and put the magic RCDLINKS definition into it
had I known about it.
