Yes, -d controls the location of the control files, there is no ldlinux.sys as
far as I can find it the tarball.
/syslinux/ only contains linux, syslinux.cfg, and syslinux.dpy.
I untared the new bundle onto my old leaf 3 cf drive - would not boot.
executed syslinux /dev/hd.. (from finnix 93 cd) and still would not boot
executed syslinux -d syslinux /dev/hd.. and now it works.
So I don't know when syslinux started to look for the /syslinux dir, my old
leaf installs all had the gear in the root dir.
