Hi, I finally took the plunge and purchased the Alix 2D13 and I'm trying to
install Bering uClibc 40 beta2_geode (also tried beta 1)

No matter what I do, following the Bering-uClibc 4.x - User Guide, (Linux
system, (Ububntu 10.10 or Windows system, Windows XP Pro), I can not get a
login prompt. I have tried setting up the CF from both Linux and Windows, using
different media from 128MB to 4GB CF disks. I have also flashed the Alix board
even though it came with the latest version.
I tried Hyper Terminal on Windows and both Cutecom and Minicom on Linux with
various settings.

_____ Here are my syslinux.cfg and PC Engines settings:
syslinux.cfg
SERIAL 0 115200
DISPLAY syslinux.dpy
TIMEOUT 0
APPEND reboot=bios console=tty1,115200n8 VERBOSE=1
DEFAULT /syslinux/linux initrd=/initrd.lrp rw root=/dev/ram0
LEAFCFG=/dev/sda1:vfat

(Terminal setting change to 115200 etc, also)

BUT I only get a prompt like this: bboooott:

1. typing root at the prompt "bboooott: results in rroooott AND then pressing
Enter I get:

2. Typing at the Enter at the bboooott:: starts a normal loading process which
continues until it gets the " Running all from local.start... Done.
" at which it just stops with no further action.
