So I thought I would just double-check that the i486 image was OK.
Turns out it is not: I get the same error as Michal on a clean install
of Bering-uClibc_4.0-beta3_i486_syslinux_vga.tar.gz

After copying kernel/net/ipsec/ipsec.ko from modules.tgz
to /lib/modules/ and running "depmod" then:

   # modprobe -v ipsec
modprobe: can't load module ipsec (ipsec.ko): invalid module format

   # tail -1 /var/log/messages
   Mar 16 20:01:13 firewall kernel: [ 4974.587789] ipsec: disagrees
about version of symbol module_layout

So _i686_syslinux_vga is OK but _i486_syslinux_vga is not. Weird, but
definitely not right...

Is anybody able to check the geode variant for comparison?
