Hi folks

I would like to upgrade my wireless stuff on a 4.3.1 using an atheros card.
Now I see the following when booting

Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 130.422549] cfg80211: Calling CRDA to
update world regulatory domain
Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 130.434378] cfg80211: Calling CRDA for
country: CH
Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 139.749742] ath5k 0000:00:0d.0:
registered as 'phy0'
Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 144.358965] ath5k phy0: Atheros AR5213A
chip found (MAC: 0x59, PHY: 0x43)
Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 144.359492] ath5k phy0: RF5112B
multiband radio found (0x36)
Nov 23 10:41:00 STYX kernel: [ 144.363713] cfg80211: Calling CRDA for
country: US

The last line is puzzling me, nowhere did I ever specify a country
setting of US. It looks like the country setting is picked up at module
load, but is overwritten with US anyway.

Can anyone elaborate where those settings are stored and how they are
invoked? CRDA is typically called via udev and as this is not supported
on LEAF, so I probably need the iw utility if not using wpa suplicant.

Thanks

Erich
