It seems like this NIC is already supported by vanilla kernel. Try to enable CONFIG_HAPPYMEAL option and reassemble kernel. It isn't enabled by default in LEAF because NIC is enougn rare, and LEAF will become too fat if all NICs (and other hw like rare ATA controllers) will be enabled here. Also, IMHO you should look on v5 branch.
