Erich, You are correct that the Soekris net4801 has a Geode CPU (boot screen says CPU Geode SC1100 267 Mhz). However, in the past I never got the Leaf Geode version to work, and when I tried it just now, I just got garbage on the screen after the bios message.
I searched the mailing lists and found a message from Tom Erjavec dated 2015-03-26 13:41:06 stating that on his Wrap board with the same Geode SC1100 CPU, the Geode distribution doesn't work but the 486 version does. He speculated that "geode" code is for newer ALIX or APU. I will wait for KP's 486 version, and will happily test it at the first opportunity. Meanwhile, the 486 variant of LEAF Bering-uClibc 5.2 works perfectly on the Soekris net4801.
