Dear All. Times ago i make a post to this list about porting RedHat device driver for Pentavalue DVB card to the WISP.
Ivan told me to try to compile it on a redhat box but with WISP kernel-src. The compilation proses work great. Now .. I just got the card on my hand. Plug it to my WISP box ... Boot ... and copy all compiled files from the RH box to this box. The insmod procedure succed with no error reported. I Try to type "ip addr" and found the new device named "pentaval0". But ..... this device reported with "blank" (00:00:00 ....) mac address. Try to run the monitor tool .. and it report like there is no Pentaval interface. Try to plug the card to the RH box .. and recompile the driver with standard linux kernel ... Insmod .. work fine the monitor tools found the device. Is there any one can give me assistance/enlightment to do more hack fixing this problem ?
