I'm afraid that the hostap driver included in WISP-Dist is not compatible with standards-based WDS. You need to upgrade the driver to a new version.
The reason why I didn't upgrade the driver is due to the fact that I have found later releases to be less stable. Maybe the situation is different now.

We have firmware 1.5.6 running in each 2511MP card, and level 2 bridging configured within the Wisp Dist build. The proc tables indicate the auto wds registration is taking place, and we see the opposite macs associate within each machine. We only want to bridge the wireless interfaces since we are using eth0 as a gateway. All iptables have been flushed.
We can not however, get traffic between the two machines. Pings die and we do not see packets from the other AP. We are unsure of the correct setup process, but have looked through the hostap README and followed it carefully, with no joy. It must be something simple that we are missing.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
