Does anyone know if it is necessary to specify the IP addresses of interfaces in zebra.conf.
No. Basicly the default configuration files will start working immediately as soon as you enable Zebra.
I see many examples with only the interface named and no IP address. For example:
interface eth0
I am wondering if zebra will automatically obtain the IP address for a given interface.
