Vladimir,

I tested my AP once again and it dropped the wireless connection after about
5 minutes. Watching the connection monitor, the channel changed
occasionally from 11 to 10 and back, suggesting some frequency drift, but
that may have just been a glitch in the monitor program.

The Wisp-Dist log shows the following for the event.

Apr 24 14:54:27 fpcwireless dhcpd: DHCPRELEASE of 192.168.5.2 from
00:02:6f:05:58:fe via netcs0 (found)
Apr 24 14:54:27 fpcwireless kernel: handle_ap_item -
addr3(BSSID)=27:72:af:75:cb:ec not own MAC

I do not know why it dropped the dhcp assignment for the connection. The
lease time is the default 604800.

The entry following the DHCPRELEASE is strange, but I suspect that it is
related to signal interference from another source. The other AP in the
building is running on channel 6 while the Soekris AP is running Wisp-Dist
is on channel 11. They use completely different ESSIDs. I don't have the
other mac address of the other AP handy, but will check it out later today.

Dan Loomis
