Hi,
Run "tcpdump -n -i netcs0" on the CPE and check if it receives your ping packets.

Hi Group,
Let me start by saying I am not yet even at the newbie level in wireless networking.
I am trying to replace an existing YDI Tranzpoint Bridge with a Soekris
net4511 running WISP-Dist.
I loaded WISP-Dist on two net4511's we recently acquired. I have verified with netstumbler that the Agere Wireless LAN World PC Card (Orinoco based) radio cards we installed have established a peer to peer network. What I want to do now is simply connect a PC to each net4511 (probably on eth1?) and get a ping from one to the other and back. I can see that an Ethernet Broadcast ARP Request goes out with the IP address I am trying to ping (using AiroPeek), but there is never any response.
I can connect to either the serial ports or eth0 (via telnet) and go
through any of the configuration menus but I fear I am too new in the
networking game to know exactly what the next step is. Can you provide
some guidance? I know, the request is a bit generic, but I'm afraid I'm
not yet smart enough to be specific!
Thanks, Tom
