Hi all, I’m trying to proceed with:
https://github.com/lede-project/source/pull/1485 which extends the xtables-addons package by adding the subpackage iptgeoip which retrieves the GeoIP by-country database and processes it into files suitable for use with xt_geoip (otherwise this netfilter plug-in is useless without it). Unfortunately the script is written in Perl, and Perl isn’t an intrinsic package… so you can’t have basic packages with optional package dependencies. Does anyone have an issue with moving xtables-addons into “packages” repo instead? And how to do so? Moving/retiring packages (e.g. from packages to oldpackages) doesn’t happen very often, so I’m unsure how to proceed on getting this unblocked.
