Hi, I'm trying to set up my ledger data file and was wondering if there were some neat account name alias tricks that maybe I haven't come across in my ledger reading so far...
Use case: I plan on sending credit card purchases (and maybe debit as well) to my computer by email and a bash script runs and enters the info I just sent, gets a new balance and sends it back to me so I always know where I'm at. If my account is listed in my ledger data file as: Liabilities:Mastercard:cap1 I don't really want to have to enter that whole thing on my blackberry when I send in the entry. I suspect I'll have to just add some sort of string replacement script, but I was just wondering: Is there already some sort of account name alias function in the program (I didn't find anything when I searched the ledger.pdf for "alias" or "account name") Thanks, Dave
