This appears to be an Emacs Org mode-ism: http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/org/External-links.html I've got a project coming together that does scanning/OCR/document classification that will generate Ledger entries, and I'll likely use the same format as it appears to be fairly easy to generate and pull out via regex. - Zack
