I'm sorry to say that I've been unable to follow all the responses to this as closely as I would have liked, and perhaps I missed some, was there any decision taken re: the various branch suggestions, etc?
Thanks Doug. Current status is good: - we have two active documentors now, Craig and John, which is really awesome. I'm sure more checkers and editors would be helpful. Github has web-based editing which should work for quick fixes. - Craig/John have an efficient workflow where docs arrive quickly in John's "next" branch. - a problem with ledger-cli.org was fixed so it now pulls from that branch. Changes appearing at https://github.com/jwiegley/ledger/commits/next should appear at http://ledger-cli.org/3.0/* within 15 minutes. - there has been no strong opinion about moving the site, currently at https://github.com/simonmichael/ledger-website , into the main ledger repo. John suggested if it happened, it should live on a separate branch, which I'm not sure improves maintainability much over the current setup. Moving it, perhaps preserving history, requires a bit of git-fu. - the site as always is seeking contributors - see the about this site page. The layout and content need an overhaul. Indeed, if there's anyone out there keen to take over the webmaster/sysadmin reins and run with it, that's also welcome. -Simon
