It will use whatever value was current at the time of posting.  -H
(--historical) doesn't really affect the register a whole lot -- except that
<Revalued> postings will no longer appear.  Where is really makes a difference
is with balance reports, since before there was no way at all to see
historical values: they were always priced in terms of the present.

If you use (@) on all postings, then -H/-V/-X can only use information from
~/.pricedb.  If that file doesn't exist, those options will have no effect.

Is that what you meant?  I'm not sure what you meant by "last posting".  In
fact, with (@) a given line in the register will _only_ use the last posting's
price information, and not its own (for reports like -V).  -B will still use
the cost value, however.
