I can decide whether this is ledger or MPFR.
I can execute commands some commands just fine:
0:37:09 ~/FinanceData (master) > ledger cleared Joint
$ 362.10 $ 3664.26 2012/05/19 Assets:VWCU:Joint

0:38:35 ~/FinanceData (master) > ledger cleared Joint U:Grace
$ 1269.10 $ 4799.28 Assets:VWCU
$ 893.38 $ 997.21 2012/05/18 Grace
$ 362.10 $ 3664.26 2012/05/19 Joint

$ 1269.10 $ 4799.28
but others fail with an MPFR assertion error:
10:39:10 ~/FinanceData (master) > ledger bal
get_str.c:153: MPFR assertion failed: size_s1 >= m
Abort trap: 6
I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason to why it fails on really
simple commands but not on more complex.
