Don't bother trying the pydev branch.  I created that branch quite a while 
ago with the intent of improving the python support, but I have not been 
able to work on it at all since then.  I hope I can get back to it someday.

The python support is not very mature.  In fact, in my case, I was never 
able to get it to do anything useful at all, since it instantly crashes.  
But I don't think this is everyone's experience.
