Hi Mayeu,

You can create a transaction to record the debt in your personal ledger:

2013/10/02 Grocery Shopping
    Assets:Debit Card -$100.00
    Expenses:Groceries $50.00 ; My Groceries
    Assets:Accounts Receivable:GF $50.00 ; GF's Groceries

And a transaction to record its payment:

2013/10/03 GF Repayment
    Assets:Cash
    Assets:Accounts Receivable:GF -$50.00

Then you can just run the register command on the AR:GF account to show
your girlfriend what she owes you money for.

In the case that she pays for something, you can record it as one of
your liabilities:

2013/10/02 Clothes Shopping
    Expenses:Clothes $75.00
    Liabilities:GF -$75.00

Periodically, before you ask your girlfriend to pay off her debt to you,
you can balance out your accounts:

2013/10/03 Balance books
    Liabilities:GF =$0.00
    Assets:Accounts Receivable:GF

I use transactions like this to manage my own in-family debt, but
they're also standard business-style debt/credit transactions so they're
flexible enough to be used in other situations too.
