Hi All,

I need some help with report formatting.

When I use:
ledger -f ~/myfile.dat reg -F '%(date) %-7.7(tag("control")) %.15(t)\n'

Entries without metadata for "control", "(null)" is output in the correct space. Entries that have data for "control" are correctly formatted.

When I use:
ledger -f ~/myfile.dat reg -F '%(date) %(tag("control")) %(t)\n'

I do not get (null), however the spacing is of course not acceptable.

I do not want to see null, just whitespace. This worked the way I want in the past.

Can someone help with the correct format expression?

using Ledger 3.0.0-20120518

thanks

Tracy Helms
