I would have done, but I have just chanced upon a posting that says the print command is not implemented in ver 3, and it is essential for sorting the data back into chronological order after merging different data sources. I have written perl scripts to create .dat files from my bank's .qif data, "learning" which contra account to use for different types of transaction on the way, and also from flat text files cut and pasted from the screen reports of a different bank. When I 'cat' these together, I want to merge them by date, which is easy under 2.6.
