I too want to work with the latest and bleeding edge, but it does make it a PIA for people to package or build one's project. Personally - and that's just an opinion - I feel like limiting dependencies to the the minimum of the latest Ubuntu LTS release and ports or brew on MacOSX, would be a reasonable compromise (on 12.04LTS that's 1.49, on 14.04LTS that's 1.54, so 1.54, I'm not sure which flavour of ports you use on the Mac). These likely have all the frills that you already need. Anyhow. At least Boost always builds and install flawlessly, so it's just time that it takes and some manual configuration. Beancount depends on Python3.3, so I'm also culpable of forcing people to upgrade their systems manually (for a short little while more to go, I think it'll be everywhere soon enough however). > I think I remember rolling back but the problem was still there.
